    About this opportunity:Age Scotland is the national charity for older people. They work to improve the lives of everyone over the age of 50 so that they can love later life. They're seeking volunteers aged 18 or over to organise events from coffee mornings to gala dinners and other events and activities in your local area, to raise vital funds for their work.

    Raise the profile of Age Scotland in your local area; use existing local contacts, such as family and friends, and develop new contacts, to expand your group. Optional: Form a group of enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a passion for making a difference to the lives of older people to support with organising events.

    You'll also risk assess all events organised - training will be provided; collect funds in a non-obtrusive fashion specified within the guidelines provided to you by your Fundraiser. Occasional attendance and support may be required with '˜bucket shake or collections' / stewarding at events and manage a stall, at specified events under the guidance of your Fundraiser.

    Yes - Volunteers will be reimbursed for all necessary travel required for this role.
